Black Bean Hummus

ingredients

1.5 Cups soaked Black Beans (or 1 400g can) drained & rinsed
1.5 TBS Tahini
3-4 TBS Lemon Juice
2 TBS Olive Oil
1 tsp Garlic (or more if you LOOOVE Garlic)
1 fresh Chilli, seeds removed (or not if you're brave)
Salt and Pepper to taste

cooking procedure

  1. If you are using the dried soaked bean you will need to cook the beans until soft, don't add salt to the cooking water as I find it tends to make the outer layer a bit tough . When cooked just cool the beans.
  2. Blitz all together in a blender until smooth. Taste as you go adding more liquid by way of lemon juice, olive oil or just water if the mix is too thick.
