The Dingo

The Dingo has been in Australia for 3000 and up to 8000 years. It must therefore be seen as a native animal, with an established place in the Australian ecosystem. The Dingo eats rabbits, cats and small mammals. Only 1% of its diet is lamb. The Dingo is nevertheless hunted mercilessly and is frequently poisoned with 1080 or meets a lingering death in the steel-jaw trap.
